Facts and Puzzles are lesson
handouts that kids take
home, fill out and place them on their refrigerators to serve as lesson
reminders. Rather than look like home work, these hand outs look like fun. They
serve by increasing curiosity, one of the main components to learning.
Kids are encouraged to take the paper home, read it, answer
the riddle, post it on their refrigerator and then bring it back with them next
week. Even Mom and Dad may take a look at it and learn something. Who knows, it
might even spark a little family discussion. The Big Secret: This as much for
the parents as it is for the kids. Some of the facts under the Did You Know
column will teach the parents.
Reward kids for bringing back their solved Facts and
Puzzles hand out. You can reward with Big City Bucks or by simply reading of
the names of the kids who solved the puzzle.
Facts and Puzzles can be printed out in color or black
and white from the CD provided for the lesson series.
